Living Is Christ

Ok. Today I'm having to pass on the Proverb of the Day. This was too good to pass up. So here's my encouraging word for the day! It comes from Philippians 1:21. It's such a great and right perspective. So often we let our circumstances dictate our joy, but that's happiness not joy. Joy comes from our relationship with the Lord, happiness comes from circumstances. Joy comes from being able to share the gospel IN our circumstances. Paul was in prison when he wrote, well, most of his letter, and yet he speaks of the joy that comes from knowing Christ. Had it been about circumstances he would have been far from joyful. We cannot control what others think of us or what happens to us, but when we treasure Christ above ALL things, we can focus on finishing the race set before us with faithfulness AND joy.
