Enjoy the Innocence

There is something so special to see our children remain in their innocence as long as possible. It blessed my heart to see my daughter come into my room in the same "Dorothy" costume she has worn for the last three days.

Parents, please don't push your children to grow up too fast. Let them bask in childish innocence. They will soon go out into a world that can be so mean, pushy, judgmental, and not living by the wonderful moral standards which the God who loves us put in place. Let them be young. Let them find joy in the little things. Let them wear the same costume day-after-day because they feel like a princess or a super hero; let them blast their music, and jump around singing out loud. Put down your phones, your iPads, and computers and give them some real one-on-one attention. Don't just be in the same room with them; BE WITH THEM. Before you know it, their best friends are their peers and they don't desire the same amount of time with you... Note to self :)
